Hi all,

i have a huge log file and from which i want to retreive the logins of the people.

for ex the log file is like

*********sks/12345678........
884034903sks/23456789.....4334sd

from this the first part of login is constant that is sks/ . the other part varies.

could you please suggest me a script to retreive the login details and put it on to a new file.

the default shell is kron.

please help

Your question isn't clear enough - at least to me. Do you want the characters after sks/? If so, when do you stop? up to the first whitespace? number of characters?
