hello everybody. i've just rescued a Win98 computer, its full of programs and documents, here's the deal, i want to format/install linux to it.

it is significantly more hairy if you do not have a free/unused disk partition
it is double hairy if no free + "full" Win98 disk partititions(s)

if i wanted to do a dual boot then i will be downloading an ISO to make a Live CD, i really prefer a hard-drive copy of linux, but ill be looking to Live CD too.
