hello, i'm currently using Microsoft windows 2000. I wanted to get some simple-to-understand information about Unix Operating System and what it's advantages and disadvantages over Microsoft windows systems. thanks
Read some of the other chapters e.g. "What Unix gets wrong[right]" to get a feel for what using modern *nixes is like and the importance and advantages of things like open standards, open source, portability, flexibility, community etc.
