Hello,

I'm running AIX 4 on an IBM RS6000.
The box gains about 1 minute to 1.5 minutes per day.
This causes a major problem since it is in a hospital environment running the HIS application.
When we reset the box to the correct time, it halts all active prints and operations for the amount of time we set it back.
We have contacted IBM about this and they have basically told us to deal with it, it is a hardware problem on the motherboard and too expensive for them to fix.
Is there a way to auto synchronize the clock with a tool such as in Windows with synchronizing to the atomic clock?
Any sugestions?
Thanks

Hi:

AIX and this particular problem is not my area of expertise, but try checking out the Network Time Protocol home page at:

http://www.ntp.org

Regards,

Nails
