Hi All,
We have a Solaris (2.5.1) machine and a NT box in the same LAN. IIS in the NT works as FTP server.
Selected number of files were transfered to the NT machine from SUN box mannually in binary mode FTP.

ftp> mput * .

When we check from the NT machine, only a portion of the file has been transfered. (Last 100 + lines were missing). Also we observed that some files were not really transfered eventhough the succes is returned.

Your expert comments are highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Nish.

Hi Nish,

FTP will always report succes
indipendent of the transfer himself.

Check old postings for the same problem.

Frank,
Thanks for the reply.
I could not find(search) the old posting. Appreciate if you could direct me to that URL.
Thanks again,
