I wish to do a WinXP and FreeBSD dual boot. XP is already installed but I don't know how I would go about partitioning my drive for FreeBSD. Does anyone have any advice or programs they can point me to? I really need some help here. Thanks.
You can use a commercial tool such as Partition Magic to resize your partitions to make space for FreeBSD. The tools directory on the CDROM contains two free software tools which can carry out this task, FIPS and PResizer. Documentation for both of these is in the same directory.
After that you can install FreeBSD in this new space. It is best to defragment your drive before adjusting partitions sizes.

If I recall correctly from other posts it is best to install FreeBSD first and then other O/S's.
Hope this helped and was correct?

Windows does retain boot loader information for other OSs. If you load FreeBSD first then Windows, you will only have windows available. If you load FreeBSD or linux first and next windows, you get to play in both environments.
