Free unix falvor

I want to install unix os. but have no idea about which falvor is free like linux?

and what is a good easy one as a server? is AIX free? thanks

solaris 10 is free as are various versions of linux if you want an easy version to play with I would suggest mandrake linux 10.2

Yes, use Solaris 10. The real Unix that is free for personal use.
The latest edition has the new file system ZFS capability which theoritically has no capacity limit and allows you to do some nice things in backup, security, rollbacks, etc.

And also: Linux is not Unix.
