Hi Guys n Gals,

I have quite a complex issue I am trying to resolve.

Here is my archatecture:

3 shared web servers running SunOne Web Server.
2 shared application servers running Bea Web Logic Server.

Here is my issue:

I am trying to add the favourite icon (favico.ico) image.
I cannot use: <LINK REL="SHORTCUT ICON" HREF="http://www.mydomain.com/myicon.ico"> as the application would need this added to all existing application pages which there is approximately 8 hours worth of pages.

Is there a way that I can add this to the SunOne Web Server without needing to add a mime type? if we do add a mime type for this, will this have any effect on th web server?

If we do add the favico to to Bea Web logic servers, is there a way that we are able to determine the dns from the webserver and then add the favico to pages depending if the dns is correct?

Is there any other way that this can be done?

Thanks for all the help on this complex issue.

Cheers,

Miike
