Any help with the problem below appreciated. System running SCO Unix 2.1.x with 6.2Gb hard disk. Requirement is to add a 9.2 Gb hard disk, copy everything across and then remove the original 6.2, without resorting to a basic installation from original disks if poss. Adding the hardware is not a problem, but experimenting with emergency disks and backup tapes didn't work for me as disks were different sizes / geometries. Using cpio appears to be a good option but again seems to need a basic installation to the new drive before the restore - which requires knowledge of original setup options which will be difficult for me to obtain.
