I need to copy files off a Unix box to a WinXP box which I am currently doing using FTP, but I need a way in which to retain the date/timestamp of the original file. Anyone out there know of a way to accomplish this?

Thanks for any/all help.

I need help trying to copy files from a Unix box to a WinXP box but need to keep the date and timestamp of the original file. I am currently ftp'ing them but it changes the date and timestamp.

tar up the files , ftp the tarred files over, then untar them. the timestamps should be intact
