change gateway in Solaris 8

CPU/Ram: 4Gb

Hello - I need to change the Gateway in Solaris 8 - I have edited the /etc/defaultrouter file and inserted new IP - I reboot server and do netstat -rn and gateway has changed however when I run ifconfig -a broadcast is showing as old gateway - do I need to do something else or is this working.......? L

hi,
your configuration it's ok!!
broadcast address is a result of ip address with a specific netmask.
Your gateway it's ok!
