I'm new with linux. I tried to install it, and it works, but for some reason I can't get x window to work on my computer. in the configurator all of the video hardware on my computer seemed to be supported. the only problem is that I don't know my clockchip, but i could go past that by probing. I don't understand why it's not working.

Try running Xconfigurator...a lot easier...it could be that Xfree86SVGA isn't installed...
