Can I install solaris 7 on a PC with IDE drives.

I have a PC pentium III 500 with 10 gig hard drive. Can I install solaris 7. I tried intalling SCO openserve but it seems it needs SCSI devices.

Yes, you can. I have done it in several ide drives. Just make sure you download the latest configuration disk from sun.com

You can also run SCO Openserver with IDE drives, you don't need a scsi device.
-Just make sure you change the input device when installing off the cd-rom, by default it choses scsi, also make sure you the the correct cd-rom ( master or slave)
