I've got a 3com nic and i'm running solaris8. Whenever i try to use ifconfig to setup my nic it says elx is a bad file number. I cannot get solaris to find my card, any suggestions?

I donot your answer but you may need to use
elxl0 which depends on what your NIC device
id is.

I have the device in
/devices/pci@0,0/pci10b7,1000@9:elxl0
and i have a file elxl0 in /dev linked to it.
