I am new to Unix, and wonder how to tell it to display the current time? I know that a calendar can be accessed via cal, but what about the current time?

Also, I have been experimenting with the at command, but none of the jobs I send ever occur. How do I send the job after entering the commands to be run. The best I could do was <ctrl>+d.

Thanks for your help w/this elementary question.
