Me?
Listening to an album called Raising Sand from Robert Plant and Alison Krauss.
Very calm, sweet...great stuff to listen to after getting home from work. Can't get over how remarkably controlled Plant sounds in this album!
Listening to "Sister Rosetta Goes Before Us" right now--with a big, relaxed, and probably goofy smile on my face. :P
What are you listening to?
The Quad-Pumped Super P3:

A compilation of one hit wonders from the 80's featuring such classics as "DeBarge - Rhythm of the Night" and "MC Hammer - Can't Touch This".
A500 rockin' at 7MHz!!!

Metallica - Death Magnetic
"If my answers frighten you then you should cease asking scary questions" - Jules Winnfield (Samuel L. Jackson) in Pulp Fiction

How come so many techies are into listening to Metallica?
There is some weird music/activities association for which I can't see no explanation.

"How come so many techies are into listening to Metallica?" Maybe that's why I'm not very good at this stuff. I'm listening to "Closer to far away", by Douglas Spotted Eagle. Next on the list is)Piano Concerto in G-major-Ravel
God gave us beer so we would know he loves us.
Ben Franklin

At the moment, it's Lemon Demon - Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny, because I really am that big of a geek, apparently.

Did you ever hear Richard Cheese's cover of Disturbed - Down with the Sickness? Awesome!

I too like Metallica, and I am 52 years old. Plus XM satellite radio has an all Metallica channel.

"Never pegged you as being that old Jam."
I did.
I kid, I kid. :)
Brought home George Benson's Livin' Inside Your Love and Mika's Life in Cartoon Motion from a thrift store today. Two VERY different albums.
Really liked how Benson did Soulful Strut.
Cartoon Motion is just...strange (but very catchy). The Quad-Pumped Super P3:

Give me any old school rock / metal.
I like Metallica also, but always lean towards listening to their older material.
Give me anything from the 60's, 70's and early 80's like Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd....... and I'm good to go.
For something of a more heavy flavour my favourite album has been for a long time "Metal Church - The Dark", the music is descent and the lead singer was one of the best vocalists I reckon I've heard.

I had a feeling Jam was in his twenties.
I'm listening to 'Welcome to the Pleasuredome'.

I bought Shinedown's newest "The Sound of Madness" in early August when it was released. I've been playing it constantly on my iPOD and in the car. Sounds REALLY great when the top is down, and the sound just surrounds me. Awesome writing, harmonies, sound, and the lead singer is great. I just love it!
http://www.shinedown.com/music/ for snippets of the songs...
"So won’t you give this man his wings
What a shame
To have to beg you to see
We’re not all the same
What a shame" - Shinedown

Linkin Park is great. I like 'session' and 'in the end'.

Yep. Linkin Park rocks too. Have you guys heard "Fort Minor?" It's the band Mike Shenoda from Linkin Park started.

Fort Minor = Where'd You Go = Good Trance. One thing with Linkin Park though is: like Creed, their music tends to sound the same, albeit with different lyrics.
I listen to just about everything non-extreme ... right now, I just got done listening to Daughtry & Metro Station. Currently I'm listening to Graham Colton.

I agree. Linkin Park's music is very 'samey'.

I like all music thats not too heavy (Dont like any genre with metal and/or death in its name)
I much prefer cruisy music opposed to heavier stuff, although sometimes I REALLY enjoy a bit of system of a down.Mattwizz3

I am listening to streaming radio. I have about 15 or so stations Bookmarked in WinAmp and I click until I find something I like. Go through every few weeks and change them.
Right now I have a station called Big R radio - 70's radio. Atlanta Rhythm Section is playing currently. I mix in lots of different Genre.

Enigma - MCMXC A.D.

as i finally unwelded nb's rockstar off the player, a bit of the old Prodigy an eclectic mix of 80-90s rock, list too long to mention, eg Thin lizzy proper rock as they said back then VH makes it as well.
what happened to DLR 's hair? lol
& v sad since youtube took down all the songs :(

Now I am listening to " I got it one piece at a time" by Johnny Cash. Funny I never have really cared for country and western music but I tend to sometimes gravitate to story tellers, good ones anyways.
Practice makes perfect but only if you practice perfectly!

I played guitar in a band called Raven back in the mid to late 80's. Had hair down to my butt, leather and spandex the hole nine yards. Yikes!! To think of dressing up like that now is so scary. We did mostley top 40 stuff but pretty much any of the 80's hair metal lol. If I had a nickel for everytime I had to play Sister Christian, man would I be well off.
