... and the Entry Level Millionaire.

-- First, you hear the rumor about this smart investment that is so good, the wisest bankers won't put their own money in because they're just too dumb to figure it out the mythically complex macros used in the funds spreadsheet.

-- Then, somehow, you hear about the incredibly smart geezer behind it all, albeit from a mid-level millionaire already receiving dividends from the old geezer.

-- Still somewhat doubtful, you have a chance encounter with him & he tells you, openly, "I've never lost money." So smitten by this uncanny ability to manage money; regardless of market direction, you forget to ask him to clarify if, perhaps, he's lost someone else's money entrusted to him ... but no time for that, got to go.

-- Eventually, you go in for a demo pitch & you are introduced to the funds' portfolios & results over the years & you are feeling really good about your great great grand kids future. At this point though, you are told emphatically, don't think about wanting in because, it's not so much about money, but associative privilege & vacancies are very rare in his investment fund ... nice meeting you!

-- Reeling from the ludicrous rejection & dejected but trying to look cheerful, you try to save face by strongly insisting on being placed on the fund's indefinite wait-list, just in case.

-- Some time goes by & by an unbelievable stroke of luck you are congratulated on snagging a vacancy & asked how you want your dividend; monthly, annually, just leaving it in & letting it mutate .. lol!

I'm sure you all know who this is about. The question though is: Should we feel sorry for the entry level millionaire?

Yes, and I can only imagine what they were doing in beliving that he was so good that he didn't have to actually show any P&L statements to the other investors either.

As with any pyramid scheme, it must balance or tumble sooner or later. It makes me wonder that he got away with it for so long and by doing business with what is suppose to be the world's smartest people.

Funny how grandma's mattress was at least able to return every penny that was invested

I'd be real surprised at the judicial system if no one else goes down with him, it is impossible to maintain a fraud of that magnitude for so long without the help of at least a few people.

Even though he's going to die behind bars, I believe he's getting off easy. He should be released for the mob to deal with him.

You and I are thinking a like on this. I found it hard to believe that there were no others charged as well. There sure was more there than what is being told to the public.

Now he gets to go and continue what he has been doing any way: playing golf at the Federal Country Club and living off the tax payers.

So I have to ask how is this justice to all those that he stole from and wrecked their lives.

Apparently, it is, for at least one victim (Ron Weinstein,) who feels, it's not the end. Because, the slimy dirtbag only made off with his money & not his life ... imagine that?

Lol.
I was reding up on his poor wife being kicked out of the mansion and wanting to take her fur coat. These people just don't get it.

You know her desk was next to his in the office and yet her and the son wereunaware of the issues.

Right!!!!!!
