this is just to say your forum saved my hash! I had just rebuilt my system, and upgraded most everything, cpu, ram, hdd, dvd-ram, and now power supply, and then my optical drives disappeared. the registry edit I found on your site re:http://www.computing.net/answers/hardware/dvdcd-drives-disappeared-/39248.html fixed the problem I introduced while piling on the software, dvd drive emulators, etc. Thanks for being here.
