Hi all,
This week's poll question is about the rise of the iPhone. Discuss here what you think about the iPhone, and, if you like, the poll results themselves.
Thanks!
Justin

Lots of voters but no posts yet...
I dont have an I phone because I'm happy with my current phone, and *WAS* happy with my mp3 player (Broke it in a drunken accident on the weekend.. damn)
Surprisingly there are not that many people I know that have them, and they dont seem to have had much of an impact at all where I live. A few people I know have them, and actually dont like them. Someone at work tonight actually told me that he thought his i-phone was 'crap' and the only good thing was that he didn't have to have an MP3 Player.
The biggest reason I have never had an i-pod is that I despise i-tunes to an extreme degree. I can buy a 1GB mp3 player for $10 and its better to use for one reason: drag - drop.

To be honest I'm very surprised by these poll results. I thought there would be a lot more who had them.... especially on an IT site where lots of people are gadget crazy!
Maby I over estimated it. There was a stupid amount of hype when it came out.

I love the hype; the tv commercials are very entertaining. News coverage of folks lining up to buy this stuff makes great viewing too. That's where it ends for me...
I'd like to have a phone with a display I can see in bright sunlight; it would also need to have the ability to talk with someone else who's out of range of the human voice.
Once I find something that solves the above problems, I might consider becoming an unwilling participant in the smartphone wars.

Meh, I like to have full control of my apps and music, my old Nokia E65 let's me do exactly that.
Coffee...The true life blood of the IT Industry!
