Hi all,

This week's poll question is about personal blogs. Discuss here what you think about blogs, and, if you like, the poll results themselves. You can also discuss your own blog!

Thanks!
Justin

No, I don't have a personal blog, I don't see the point. If I want to have a whinge, I'll head down to the local Pub.

From adz929's language I would guess we are on opposite sides of the big pond. However, I am of a like mind. I see no point to it either. Of course I have no interest in Survivor, Entertainment Tonight, etc. To each his own I guess.

Indeed I am :-)

Neither do I, in fact I hardly watch any television at all.

Do I care for Blogs ?
No, not really.
Do I think they are useful?
Possibly!

I think that in most cases those that blog have absolutely nothing to add to anything as they have not one iota of individual thought. Their main purpose is to see their own words in print without having to say they write in a journal or a diary. Instead they say they Blog.

Then along comes someone that actually has something to say that is important and of some use to either us personally or to help us in some aspect.

Myself , I have yet to find a blog that supports anything on a personal basis. But I have found and use regularly certain blogs containing specific information relating to technical issues that I find extremely useful.

I don't have a personal blog besides the one associated with
my myspace account. I don't typically write anything on it
unless I truly feel that I have something worth saying that
day. I think I have maybe five entries total. However, I do
tend to read other people's blogs when I have the time. I
guess I am a little torn...

I have a personal blog. I don't have anything to say that anyone else would want to read, so I don't have it publicly accessible. I only use it to post pictures of our family & talk about the funny stuff that our kids (ages 7, 3, & 3) do. To read it, you have to email me for a UID & PW, which I won't give if I don't know you. The people who do read it are the folks I'd send an email to, anyway. But, it gives them a chance to comment on the pics & stories, and a chance for our kids to see what their aunts, uncles, grandparents, & cousins are saying about the pics.

I do have a professional blog, but instead of being an outlet for me to vent, it's a means for me to teach about customer service based on real-life situations. As it develops, it will also become a for someone to hire me as a customer service consultant. There, too, to read the posts, it will require a membership (once it's fully functional).
