Twitter is annoying and evil. Google doesn't want to be evil. Google should leave Twitter alone.

If one signs up to Twitter how do you cancel your "membership?" A friends teenage daughter has become involved in this lot and wants to get out.

go to settings in your account (top bar has the link).
On the screen that appears, in the very bottom left, there should be a Delete my account link.

If there's any truth to the rumor, then kudos to Google for recognizing how to continue to stay ahead of the curve.

I like the rumor because it revalidates the dot-com boom business model. Make a popular service, then find some company to buy the site. Who needs a revenue model outside of venture capital?

Thank you jon_k the young lady concerned is most thankful. It appears she thought it was a good idea at the time but after seeing various content she decided otherwise.

I have never seen twitter. Had never heard of it until recently. Not sure I want to be known as a twit! lol
