Hi all,

This week's poll question is about whether or not Google should buy Twitter. Discuss here what you think about this acquisition roomer, and, if you like, the poll results themselves.

Thanks!
Justin

Twitter is annoying and evil. Google doesn't want to be evil. Google should leave Twitter alone.

Twitter has its own language. Messages are called "tweets", while people who use Twitter are nicknamed "twits". from Wikipedia

Self evident .
It takes a twit to send a tweet.

From the responses above I guess I am not the only one that doesn't understand what the attraction is.

If one signs up to Twitter how do you cancel your "membership?" A friends teenage daughter has become involved in this lot and wants to get out.

go to settings in your account (top bar has the link).

On the screen that appears, in the very bottom left, there should be a Delete my account link.

If there's any truth to the rumor, then kudos to Google for recognizing how to continue to stay ahead of the curve.

I like the rumor because it revalidates the dot-com boom business model. Make a popular service, then find some company to buy the site. Who needs a revenue model outside of venture capital?

Thank you jon_k the young lady concerned is most thankful. It appears she thought it was a good idea at the time but after seeing various content she decided otherwise.

My daughter sayd she checked it out and doesn't like it. She is a myspace brat. I guess I am too old for all of this.

"Not sure I want to be known as a twit!" - LikelyStory

Ditto that sentiment. Or at least if I am known as a twit, I'd like to be at least a witty twit...

Would that make me a twit-wit? Ouch.
