Zip file error on Solaris

I'm trying to unzip a zip file on solaris. It keeps giving me an end of file signature not found and I see that some of the files have not been unzipped. This same file unzips perfectly on linux. Could it be because I downloaded this file on Windows first and copied it over to Solaris (Samba)and if so is there a solution? Thanks
