Comment:
I received three new v240's that came with 10 pre-installed. Because of the requirements of my site I installed 8. There was nothing remarkable about the installations. After the install I hyperterm'd in and set the XVR-100 Graphics Accelerator as the default console display as per enclosed instructions. When the machines booted up and X-Windows began to come up it abruptly quit and went to command line displaying the error: X-server can't open on display :0.0
Same for all three boxes. Error log simply stated the X-sever terminated unexpectedly. Tried setting DISPLAY=:0.0, export DISPLAY, and resetting Xconfig from the command line - same result and there errors displayed are: /usr/openwin/bin/xinit no such process (errorno3) server error
and
cannot create /var/adm/utmpx
I've build at least fifty of these before with the same hardware and same OS and never had this problem. Any suggestions?
