Is there any change to do xhost + permanent? Any configfile or something?

you sure you want to?? it's considered a secrity risk. there's always .profile - will add it every time you log in.

I'm sure! xhosts +localhost is enough, but I don't know the syntax. Is it root's .profile? My problem is: I log in as userX then su to root then try to start an xterm on the same machine, it doesn't work until xhosts +.
