Hello everyone
i like to know job market for solaris,
right now iam working on linux and i was wondering what kind of training is there for solaris.
next question is difference between linux and solaris.thanks in advance
Dont give up

Job market is very small.
Sun and many others offer professional training along with self paced traing and full documentation.
Solaris is a type of original true unix, It has been ported to the common x86 machine. Linux is a cheap copy of unix forced to a x86 box. I would doubt that modern copyright laws would have allowed linux to be distributed with the exception of maybe BSD which is not linux.
All of these support some form of common tools, shells, applications, calls, compilers. If one knew linux very well then they'd have no problem learning Solaris.
I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you goober.

i cannot recommend solaris, their website doesn't even work and their tech support is so awful that i had to post on the blog about it. http://sibylleandthomas.info/drupal...
