Comment:

I want to buy a tape drive for my lab that has about 10 computers run Sun Solaris 5.5.1. I have searched online and find out both AIT and DLT look good to satisfy my requirement. My questions is how can know if Solaris will recognize my tape drive. I can not find any info talking about the OS in the manual of the products, such as Sony SDX-S500C.

Is there any place to know this? I even called the company who is selling this product online, but they are not sure about it.

Any help will be appreciated.
