for solaris,where i can find log files?

Solaris logs different events in different directories most of them is in /var. Please specify for which log u r looking for. I am enclosing some of them. /var/adm This directory is usually also available as a symbolic link named /usr/adm. /var/log This log directory is sometimes used to store miscellaneous log files, including log files ceated by syslog for messages that are not written to /usr/adm/messages or to the system console. /var/cron This directory contains the files that you would find associated with the system's cron(1M) and at(1) functions. /var/adm/messages for a lot of the general stuff. Have a look at /etc/syslog.conf to see where everything else goes. :-) . Mark
