Subject: warning messages on start-u[OS: Solaris 8 02/-2CPU/Ram: Ultra SPARC IIe / 512 MBModel/Manufacturer: Sun Blade 150 |
Comment: I am booting on an external SCSI hard drive. At the startup I get these two warning messages: Warning: pcipsy0 ino 0xc has been blocked Warning: uata0 interrupt #0 has been blocked The computer still starts up and works fine, but what do these error messages mean? How do I fix them? Thanks in advance for any input. I am new to sun/solaris systems. -Tim

Reply: (edit)I did a boot -r and that did not seem to help the problem. Also, I redid all the nvalias commands and probe scsi commands, but the same problems still show up. If I move this external scsi disk to another computer, the new computer does not show these problems. Only the original computer shows these warnings. So I know it is not a hard disk problem. I too believe it to be a configuration error on my part, I just don't know what or how to fix it. Any other suggestions will be much apprecieated. Thanks, Tim
