Hello,

i have a SUN VT100 with 2 dmfe interfaces dmfe0 and dmfe1.Now must the dmfe1 include 2 subnets (VLAN 070 and 071). How can i do it?

Watchdog,

I am not sure if the DMFE is vlan aware ethernet ports, you may have to look on sun solves Systems handbook. The CE ethernet cards are. In solaris to set a VLAN, is very simple.
ce0 and ce1 are not vlan aware, but this formula will help you.
CEX = (100xVlan)+port#
EXP. VLAN 2 on ce0 = (100x2)+0= ce201.
In your case, if DMFE were vlan aware.
dmfe7000 and dmfe7101
