Viewing Solaris screen shots in Win

Comment:
I have a Solaris 9 OE installed in a Pentium 700 Mhz computer. I had used the snapshot utility in the CDE and saved it as gif and tif. I am able view it perfectly in the Image Viewer in Solaris. However, I am not able to view it in the Windows 2000 environment. I had transferred the file using ftp in my Office LAN.
I am able to open the file without any error message but the image is not seen properly.
Please advise as to what might be the possible problem and solutions you can suggest to do this.
