vi editor giving error in solaris

Hi,

I logon in my system as normal user and open vi editor but i received permission error as follow
$ vi test1
"/var/tmp/Ex8AaGcb permission denied"
$

One day I tried to automate the user account through my account. Since that I receiving this error message
could you any tell me How to solve this problem?

Could the current directory that you are in be a read only?

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you peanut.
