Hi, maybe somebody out there can help me out here. I've install solaris 8 several times before but this is the only time I encounter this problem. The problem is that when i log into CDE, and click open the "console", the window just hangs and I can't type in anything. However, when I click on the "terminal" emulator, I encounter NO problems. Also, when I try to login with a user account from the command line, I just get 'stuck' and have to do a stop-a. However when I log in as root, I face no-such problem. The way I created these accounts, was the usual useradd -c "" -d -s login-id and then chown -R . Can somebody tell me what's wrong?

hai U check the useradd command options for creating home directory and the login shell etc. create a account using admintool& and check it so that u clarify wheather it is command error r some other error. if any errors get back bye

go to the user profile and check the console. create new user in terminal and careful with user profile path. and try again in new user.
