Hello I'm working on a system based on
SUN BLADE-150.
The problem is that I'm requested to read the usb barcode directly.

something like: open("/dev/kbd", O_RDWR) and read the bar code scanned directly into my application.

How could I know if I got the barcode and not the regular Keyboard data ?

(I've installed a patch to support multiple keyboards)

How can use UGEN and write a userland program that reads the
data directly ?

Also I want to enable the user to click on the scanner so that my software would grab the Barcode input directly in the background, without the need of selecting a text field to place it there.

Your help is greatly appreciated
