Ultra 1, no audio?!?

Was wondering why I'm not getting any audio from my Ultra I except little beeps when I do somehting wrong. For example, I run Sun DOOM and there is no sound, or music. Not even any simple beeps. RUnning solaris 8, is there anything special I have to do to get the audio working?
