I am new to using Solaris and especially with a SPARC 5 work station. I had some problems with the OS that came with the new hard drive I recently purchased OS is Solaris 8 but seemed to be missing some packages. So, I decided to do a reinstall of Solaris to correct the problem. After the install is complete the system is re-booted and it locks up with the following message: bootblk: can't find the boot program program terminated type help for more information ok I have tried to re-install a few more times using different parameters but get the same result. My system is a SPARC 5 with 110Mhz processor and 64Meg of ram. I had a 4.2G HD in it and have recently installed a 9.2G. I hear this may not have been such a good idea consedering it's in a SPARC station. Has anyone seen this problem?
