My machine is an ultra-sparc I, solaris 7.
I am having trouble in installing patches.

Before I installed a patch, I ran:

% showrev -p

to make sure that the patch is not installed.

I then ran

% patchadd /mnt/home/jyan/netscape/n6patch/106950-13

I got the following error message:

Checking installed patches...
Verifying sufficient filesystem capacity (dry run method)...
Installing patch packages...

Patch 106950-13 failed to install due to a failure produced by pkgadd.

See /var/sadm/patch/106950-13/log for details

------------

Here is the content of the log file:

This appears to be an attempt to install the same architecture and
version of a package which is already installed. This installation
will attempt to overwrite this package.

/mnt/home/jyan/netscape/n6patch/106950-13/SUNWarc/install/checkinstall:
/mnt/home/jyan/netscape/n6patch/106950-13/SUNWarc/install/checkinstall:
cannot open
pkgadd: ERROR: checkinstall script did not complete successfully
Dryrun complete.
No changes were made to the system.

-----------------------

Could someone show me how to solve this problem?

Thank you!
