Solaris support telnet and optionally ssh if you are looking for a command line interface. If you prefer a gui, you can use an x-windows client with solaris's native x-windows server or vnc is also nice.

I would setup SSH on your sun, and have then on your X86 clients download putty.exe, and use it as an ssh client.. or you can leave it on telnet and use putty as a telent client
