OS: solaris 5.8
CPU/Ram: sun fire 280R
Comment:

socket read/read/write in sequnce (10 times)
gives very bad performance. The time required is in the range of milliseconds. However, if it is just read/read/read or write/write/write or read/write/read/write the time is in the range of microseconds.
