I am new to unix and I am working with sun 7.2 I think. Well The tape drive does not work and whatI want know is 1) how to mount the tape drive 2) If it is how do I fix the problem so that is does work. Thanks

Dear Friend,

I feel your problem is to take the backup of your Solaris Server ok ..???

The first thing is that the Solaris / UNIX treate tape is a character shecial device and we can't mount character special device.

Your basic problem is to configure Tape Drive under solaris / UNIX.
