i have xp installed on my machine and i tried to install fedora 9 on my machine.. it got installed properly and after reboot when it asked for username and password i entered.. immediately it gets hanged up.... can any one tell me y.... i tried to install it once again but no use.. i tried fedora 10 thinking my disc might be corrupted stilll the same prob,,,please help

Instead of using gui try ctrl-alt F2 key maybe. See if you have console access on other sessions.

log in on bash shell and edit gui settings. I suspect the video settings are wrong but that is a wild guess.
