Just bought Sun Sparc20 but without monitor, keyboard + mouse
from stranger. I tried to connect using hyper terminal but failed. Have no idea of the OS, login id, passwd & ip address. Pls advice. Thank you

obtain/reinstall Solaris OS.

It is not only possible but entirely reasonable to operate a sun computer with the console directred through the serial port. Use a null modem if you want to connect to a pc using hyperterm. To reinstall the OS, attach a SCSI CDrom drive as ID 6 then when you boot, send a break signal. With a sun keyboard it would be [STOP]A, with a terminal, try [CONTROL]L. You should get an OK> prompt. Type

boot cdrom

It will boot from the install disk in your cdrom drive.
