Hi!
I am trying to connect sun netra t1 server to the console on my laptop.I have connected it to the LOM port on the server,but nothing comes on the windows hyperterminal.I have followed the 9600 8-N-1 settings.
But when I connect to the serial port on the netra server the hyperterminal screen pops up giving garbage values endlessly...

Anyone ever came across this problem or something similiar please give your comments/suggestions

Hi,

Your setting looks good, but can you try with the followings:

1) Make sure you are using the correct console cable.
2) Use another laptop to make sure your laptop's serial port is ok.
