Comment:

I have a new sun blade 1500 silver that is connected to a servswitch ultra KVM (I don't have the nifty audio cables though).

I know that the speaker in the system is good, because it beeps when it first boots, but if won't beep even when I give it the "beep" command from the OBP. Definitely no beeps from the OS. This configuration worked fine on my old sun ultra 10 (same KVM and non-USB type 6 keyboard). Any idea how to redirect the beep now that I have a USB based system or am I running down the wrong path?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I got this resolved by using the "-audiobell /dev/audio" option to the Xsun command in my Xservers file.
