Have you installed the manufacturer's drivers for the SCSI card? What kind of card are you using?

I am assuming the two onboard disks you mentioned are connected to a separate SCSI bus. Is this correct?

When you do the probe-scsi-all what do you see? Do you see the SCSI card but no entries for the disks OR do you not see the card at all?

Ive done a probe-scsi-all and only receive an output of the 2xonboard disks 0 & 1 along with the cdrom. It doesnt show the PCI scsi at all. The PCI card is from Sun and its drivers are in the /dev and /devices directories.

Entries in /dev and /devices for your PCI card but no SCSI devices on startup. If the drivers were already included or installed then there should be an entry in your /var/adm/messages log for the pci card during startup. If that is so it would appear that the card is working.

If the card seems to be working then it could very well be a problem with the bus configuration. Is it terminated properly? Have you tried another cable?

It may be the controller board in the array itself. The D1000 has two independant controllers so try both of them if you have not done so already already.

Check the settings for the option switch on the back of the tower. Double check the settings against the service manual and make sure you don't have any ID conflicts on the bus.

I have included a link to the manual

I hope this isn't a list of things you have already checked out. Good luck!
