I'm trying to use a Sony SMO-561 scsi attached MO drive on Solaris 8. I have modified sgen.conf and I have the appropriate devices created under /dev/scsi/optical but I can't get newfs or mkfs to work.
What's the trick to crate a filesystem on an MO drive?
