Hi, I have a Solaris 8 (Intel platform) an after I connect it to the NT network I can't browse the resources in the network. The following message appears: "The browser running on the Domain Controller has lost an election ...."
Any ideas?
Diego

Diego,

Try checking out your Samba config on your Solaris box. It looks as if Samba is winning your browser elections. Either turn off Samba or set the 'os level = 17' (In smb.conf). This will cause samba to only beat out Win3.x/95/98/ME and NOT NT4/5
Hope this helps!
