Hi I have downloaded boot images for soalris8 on intel and they are in .iso format. I want to write cd as boot cd and I have cd writer on windows 98 machine. so please tell me how do i burn the cd with this .iso image. waiting for reply sukrut

Hi Sukrut, The iso format files you keep in Win98 m/c where cd writer is installed. Donot write the iso file to Cd as like normal cd's.Which CDwriting software you are using? In my exp,Easy CD is good enough to select the option of copy image to cd.Prompt u for iso file. try to boot with the first cd which u have burned. It should boot from cdrom. -Karthik

Hi Karthik I have downloaded the iso image of solaris 8 for intel and the file is "s8ccd-02_02-intel-a.iso and I have cd writer (HP CDWRITER 8200 SERIES)and I would like to create boot cd so that I can boot my intel machine through solaris. Whenever I open cd writer software it gives me four option 1.Create music cd 2.create data cd 3 copy existing cd pl advise me how do i copy the image of boot cd to one cdrom. sukrut

Use Nero (www.nero.com) and burn the ISO's as images.

Hi all, If you hace Easy CD writing S/W then just double click on the .iso file format and it ask for a blank CD in CD-WR and click and it write to CD. It worked for me
