I am running sun utlta 1 through console on windows xp, anyways i would like to make the solaris machine a gateway/firewall for my broadband cable. How do i get my other interface up, the one that is on the motherboard, i have one interface up which is the hme0, but how do i start up the other interface or even find its name. How do i start the sun box so its starts filtering and sending internet access to my linksys router(bsfr41). And which interface should go to the modem, and the other to the router, where should the cable go on the router, the wan port, uplink port, or port 1-4, help would be very appreciated! thanx

well, I don't get it why you need 2 "routers" but anyways..

Look in /etc for the other NIC, if it's not there then install the driver first.

By the way it can be useful getting familiar with iptables and/or ipchains if you want to do filtering stuff...just a suggestion.
