I am working in a NIS environment with a variety of OSes; AIX, Solaris, OSF, Linux. We use NIS on an AIX system and have gotten to the point where many users have many more that 17 groups. This is OK for AIX but of course it is a problem in Solaris. I am trying figure out how Solaris gets the group order to determine the first 17 groups? Anyone have any ideas?
