I came to know that Solaris 9 is migrating to LDAP. But, I have a question, does it still support NIS. If i am installing Solaris 9 in a network (which now has the previous version of Solaris)which already has NIS, will installing Solaris 9 effect it? Will it still support NIS?

Solaris 9 does support NIS. It is virtually identical to Solaris 8 NIS setups. In fact, a script file I created to run under S8 and used many times will run unchanged under S9 and produce the very same results when given indentical file pathnames.
